ドラえもん 浮世絵「富嶽三十六景・江都駿河町三井見世略図」

Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji Mitsui's Brief Introduction to the World in Suruga Town, Eto Doraemon Ukiyo-e

Ukiyo-e artist Katsushika Hokusai is the only Japanese named by LIFE magazine as one of the "100 people with the most important achievements in the world in the last millennium."

In the second half of the 19th century, the Japanese Arts and Crafts Movement emerged in Europe, known as "Japaneseism", and was highly regarded. Hokusai not only influenced Impressionist painters such as Van Gogh and Monet, but also influenced European artists such as composer Debussy.

The theme of this work is Katsushika Hokusai's manga and the "Schematic Map of Three Views of Suruga Town, Edo" from the world-famous Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. Suruga Town became the current Nihonbashi Muromachi Town.

The Mitsui in the picture is "Echigoya", a kimono shop that was the predecessor of today's Mitsukoshi Department Store and was very popular at the time for its high-quality kimonos.

The work adopts a composition viewed from below, emphasizing the large roof, with Mount Fuji rising quietly from the streets of Suruga Town, maintaining a typically brilliant harmony between the triangle of Mount Fuji and the triangular slope of the roof.

Fat Tiger and Xiao Fu start laughing when they see Nobita slip and drop a rice ball while going to the roof to have lunch and replace the tiles. It depicts Doraemon and his friends enjoying their favorite Dorayaki with Shizuka.

This product uses the highest quality "raw Japanese paper".
