His representative works include the ukiyo-e series "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji", a total of 46 prints (including 10 "Reflections of Mount Fuji") and the 15-volume "Hokusai Manga", which have attracted much attention for their unique conception and overwhelming artistic attainments. Ukiyo-e prints, including Hokusai's works, have been widely praised overseas, setting off a wave of what is known as "Japonism", and are said to have had a significant impact on 19th-century European Impressionist painters such as Van Gogh, Cézanne, and Gauguin.
